Nordic-inspired interiors are usually very bright and most often the main color used is white. Of course, there are exceptions. We found a very suggestive one. This lovely house features a different kind of Nordic décor. It's true that it has a white background but in this case it was only used to make the rest of the elements stand out. This huge blank canvas was then filled with lots of colorful and vibrant details.

Many different colors were combined but they were beautifully balanced. Each room or space has its own palette of colors. For example, the kitchen and dining room area are probably the brighter spaces in the house. The kitchen is mostly white with black and ocher insertions. Then the space continues into the living room where an entire wall was painted ochre. It was combined with turquoise and blue accents and a brown sofa and the contrast is quite beautiful.

The staircase that connects these spaces to the more intimate areas is bright red. It leads to a social area with blue, pink, red, green and yellow touches. Even though it's a multicolored space it's also a balanced décor. The bedroom is cozy and a little simpler. It has serene white walls and an inclined ceiling and there are also a few small and colorful details. The play room is chic and with many vibrant and bold elements. Futuristic Galaxy Wall Clock

I teach the kids the basic things about the Universe and galaxies, about stars and planets. And when I do that I always use a replica, a very suggestive model of our galaxy. It shows all the planets like bigger or smaller balls of different sizes and colours. They are all fixed on metal sticks that can move around the centerpiece – the Sun. Well, if you ever saw such a teaching aid, you surely thought about it when you saw this beautiful Futuristic Galaxy Wall Clock. The “sun” in the middle of the galaxy is actually the clock dial and it has four numbers on it, the most important ones that you need to tell the time: three, six, nine and twelve.

These numbers, together with the two silver arms will show you the time and the rest of the clock is just for design. The clock is pretty interesting in design and it looks cool in the polished metal frame and having a mirrored interior dial. It continues the starburst idea of design for clocks and it belongs to the designer called Ashton Sutton. Beastie Bud Vase

I think the people and objects around us can influence our moods a great deal. For example if you are surrounded by smiling people you will immediately feel happier without an apparent reason. But this goes both ways and you can get tense and sad when surrounded by dull grey things and gloomy persons. Well, this is why many people take this idea very seriously and programme themselves for a certain mood by looking at happy faces and smelling the perfume of beautiful flowers. So these nice Beastie Bud Vases will be the perfect thing for a cheerful person and they will bring a smile on your face the minute you see them.

These vases are hand made and their design is very original, as they look like like smiling beasts with two aorta-like tubes on top. Country House With Impressive Cubic Structure

An original cubic structure made possible the redistribution of this former grain warehouse, restored into a comfortable country house. In order to keep the old windows, which are not too wide, they took the risk of having a dark interior. One of the best solutions is represented by the fixed openings made in the facade in the encounter with the roof to allow the entry of natural light throughout the entire house. Among the other aspects that draw the attention there are the original field of colors, the original construction with its stone structure and especially the cubic structure with its double height in the centre of the house.

Nothing compares to the sensation of amplitude, clarity and natural light that can be felt wherever you look and to the contrast between the rustic structure and the renovated interior that the architect Jose Luis Pereiro made use of. This contrast is realized by painting the cubic structure in an intense green that definitely draws the attention, but without being too much. The black furniture pieces in the kitchen match perfectly with the shades of green.

Every room has something charming, no matter it is a strong color that animates the entire atmosphere, the simplicity of the furniture pieces, the neutral tones of the bedrooms, or just the decorative objects and plants that give life to the entire space. Dual Arcade Coffee Table

Uh, gadgets! I love new things that propose new fun experiences. What I didn't know was that now some of these entertaining devices can be properly called furniture. This new product I'm showing you today is called The Dual Arcade Table and it was conceived by the British company Surface Tension. The idea is quite simple but ingenious somehow because nobody combined a coffee table and arcade games in this way. Do not draw your conclusions, because if haven't heard it all yet.

The "furniture part" is made from an extremely high quality veneer with a top made of 6mm super durable dark glass. Beneath that there is the "entertainment part" that consists of a 19" screen with marvelous wide viewing angles so the entire family can assist or directly participate to your little "Sunday morning coffee". The entire thing is hand build and for that reason there is a high degree of customization that includes various games, controls, multi-player options.

For instance the multi-player controls can be side by side, for games that require team work or face to face, for the famous battles that involve dominating or killing your adversary. It has though only one downsize; its price. In the UK the unit is sold for a price between 1999 and 3300 pounds, in US dollars the price is pretty steep, from 3000 to 5000. So unless you really like the idea and you are a huge fan of the latest trends, gadgets and arcade games I don't find this very accessible. Its only up to you to decide.

Stylish NY kitchen renovated by Angela A’Court

This kitchen is part of a NYC townhouse and it only measures 16 feet wide but feel much more spacious thanks to the bright and airy interior décor. The kitchen was renovated by Angela A'Court who, after relocating from London, decided to remodel this lovely house and make it her new family home. The kitchen, together with the dining area and a small lounge space, occupies the garden level of the house.

The house was in pretty good condition and had a nice structure. However, the interior décor was outdated and needed to be changed. For the kitchen she chose a simple white look. It was a clever choice, considering the dimensions of this space. The walls are white and the cabinets are featuring the same color. The concrete countertops are also light and go nicely with the whole fresh décor. They also add some nice texture to the mix.

The kitchen is part of a larger communal area and it's located on the street side of the house. One portion is overlooking the garden. This means that it's a quiet environment and that it also benefits from plenty of natural light. The windows have curtains that let light get through but that also provide privacy. For the details and decorations, Angela kept things simple and only opted for some elegant light fixtures and a floating shelf to display her colorful ceramics.

Charming 37 square meter flat with floral wallpaper

This is a Spanish flat built in 1928 that is still in excellent condition. It has been renovated several times throughout the years and it has also been beautifully preserved. The last renovation resulted in a very charming and chic interior décor. The apartment features floral wallpaper in the living area as well as in the bedroom, bathroom and dining area. Moreover, when you go out on the balcony, more beautiful flowers and vegetation await you and this time they're real.

The apartment covers a total surface of 37 square meters. It's not a particularly large flat but it has been decorated in such a way that it seems airy as well as cozy and inviting. It's lightly furnished only with the necessary pieces and a few tasteful decorations. The furniture is a mix of modern and vintage. The living room features pink and green floral wallpaper and decorative pillows on the sofa that match the walls. The sofa is grey while the rest of the furniture is completely white as not to become overwhelming in terms of color. The rug is a big splash of purple-pink.

The bedroom has a blue theme with floral wallpaper and Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling. It has a very beautiful side table with intricate carved details on its surface. The kitchen is quite large and has been decorated with a combination of black and white and small portions where floral wallpaper is also visible. Moby Dick Chaise Longue

All artists love marble and I personally consider it to be a very elegant and stylish material that you can use in order to practice your skill and turn it into beautiful works of art. Sculptors have discovered marble a long time ago and they used it and loved it and the natural beauty of this rock still amazes people.
